The Mission

OUR MISSION

We see our mission as that ancient mission which was assigned by Christ to the church from the very beginning, and that is to embody and deliver Christ’s salvation of the world, here and now. We have threefold approach to our endeavor.

First, we enter into this ancient mission by embracing the apostolic faith just as it was delivered to the undivided church of the first millennium, through worship, teaching, and practice.

Second, we enter into this ancient mission by participating in the life and power of the God, united to the incarnate Lord Jesus Christ, and seeking to be made into the image (icon) of his glory through the enablement of God’s Holy Spirit.

Third, we enter into this ancient mission by sharing our and faith and practices with our community. We do this by serving in both word and deed. We serve the needy with “Food for the Poor.” We serve those needing rehabilitation with “the Miami Rescue Mission.” We serve the young in a local college ministry for graduate students. We serve widows and orphans through a mobile coffee bar that sells coffee grown by Rwandan genocide victims.

Life at King of Glory Church has this threefold message at its core. Consequently, the parish has a unique feel; one that draws its participants deeper into the life of God in Christ. It is our intention to bring many with us on this journey of faith.
